How to order 250 or more trucker hats
Large trucker hat runs are routine at Battle Born Clothing, but they go smoother when the buyer knows the sequence. Here it is, in the order it happens.
1. Pick a blank with stock depth
At 250+ the question is not just price but whether 250 of one colorway are in the warehouse. The Richardson 112 in common colorways (Black/White, Charcoal/Black, Navy/White, Heather Grey/Black) is stocked deep at SanMar Reno, our first pull. The YP 6606 is also stocked well. Niche colorways and premium blanks may need to come from a second warehouse, which can add days. Tell us your colorways early and we check stock before quoting.
2. Decide the split
Most large orders split across two to four hat colors with one logo. That keeps the whole run in one decoration tier. If different groups need different logos (say, a crew hat and a supervisor hat), each logo is its own design and its own quantity.

3. Send the job
- Logo as vector (AI, EPS, PDF, SVG). A 300 dpi PNG is acceptable for embroidery.
- Style, colorways and quantity per colorway.
- Decoration: flat embroidery, 3D puff, leather patch (glued or sewn).
- Thread colors or Pantone references.
- Ship-to address(es) and in-hands date.
Use the quote form. Quotes usually go out the same business day.
4. Approve the quote, then the proof
The quote is per-hat pricing plus one-time fees. Once approved, we digitize the logo (for embroidery) or prepare the patch file, and send a digital proof showing the art at size on the hat. Look at the proof carefully; production matches it. The 28-day clock starts when you approve.
5. Production
Blanks are ordered and received. Embroidery runs across both of our commercial heads; patches are cut and engraved on the 80-watt laser and attached on the hat press. We check the first pieces against the proof before running the rest.

If you need it sooner, say so on the quote. Rush is quoted per job and depends on blank stock and shop schedule that week.
7. Shipping
We ship nationwide from Yerington, Nevada. One address or several; give us the split per site. We can ship to your customer's address on request.
Common mistakes
- Choosing a rare colorway for a 500-hat run without checking stock.
- Sending a JPEG screenshot of the logo.
- Approving the proof without checking the logo width.
- Waiting until three weeks before the event to ask.
